The Imo state police command has rescued a 72 year old man, Mr Emmanuel Ujagba who was kidnapped by unknown gun men suspected to be kidnappers in Umuebele Okporo in Orlu Local government. While parading the bodies of the suspected kidnappers at the Command headquarters in Owerri the Imo state capital, the Deputy Public Relations Officer Mr Elvis Abanga said that Mr Ujagba had been forcefully taken from his home. He said when the incident was reported, the ambush squad of the command immediately went into action and in the process of rescuing the old man alive, the Police went into a gun battle with the kidnappers. British Prime Minister, David Cameron, is has vowed to launch a crackdown on the preachers of hate blamed by the government for the extremism that led to the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby in Woolwich. French police are hunting a man who attacked a soldier on patrol with two colleagues in the La Defense business district of Paris on Saturday evening, BBC reports. Private First Class Cedric Cordier was approached from behind and stabbed in the neck with a small-bladed knife. Defence Minister Jean Yves Le Drian told reporters that he had been targeted because of his profession. But President Francois Hollande refused to make any direct link with the murder of a soldier in London on Wednesday. Two men arrested on suspicion of murder at the scene of the London attack remain in custody in hospital in a stable condition. Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale were shot and wounded by police.
